All the time deal with it up!

This isn't a busy site and there certainly isn't any reason for anyone, including bots, to spam my posts with comments. It still happens. Fortunately the Askimet plugin catches 99% of them and they never even make it to me for review. Some of them do slip in and they...

Redneck Turkey Roasting Video

The skewer kept slipping and I had to resort to using something to hold things together.  It worked well! httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vM8gfCmZBs

Sandy Hook

Here's a few recent pics to keep things updated.  Taken at Sandy Hook on a blustery, cold day using my Insta360 One X2.

We’re famous! Look at us!

^^ Sandi was featured in a gallery exhibition in Denver. ^^ They put me on a gate fence just at the entrance, I drew quite the crowd. Hehehe, actually it is just a new free iPhone app called PhotoFunia that embeds your photos in a number of different and fun...

Walking Confluence Park

I've been walking almost daily for the past couple months and my latest location is a 5 mile loop around the lake and next to the river. You can check my progress at RunKeeper.com

A Day at Lake Eola and Fireworks!

A few weeks ago I was re-reading Tony Northrup's great DSLR guide, How to Create Stunning Digital Photography. In the section on night photography he discusses his technique for getting pictures of fireworks and I decided to try it this year. His method is simple;...

The Orlando Eye

The Wheel at Icon Park opened on May 4, 2015 and I finally went to check it out! My flight time was scheduled for 4:45 (tickets online in advance), but I received an email about an hour ahead saying it was 'not in operation' and that I could make use of my...

Great dinner

Scallops on a bed of rice and romaine.  This is part of the reason why I have dropped form a high weight of 282 in December of 2007 to 229 this week,  My goal is to get to about 190 lbs.

Home to the Peacock in the previous post

Beautiful water feature at Magnolia Park.  I went to a bluegrass festival there last weekend and the views were nice, but the music wasn't to my taste.  Not your typical Bluegrass, more like toothless swamp folk singing colloquial lyrics about life.

Rancher in Delta, CO

Peacock at Magnolia Park

Unfortunately, although I followed him for about 30 minutes, he didn't open his fantail.  He looks a bit scraggly so it may not have been that spectacular anyway.

Apple Watch – Shop Apple Watch

Ma Famiglia in Meeker

Went to lunch with Brandy, Matt, Justin, Dakota, Jimmy, Eva and Sandi.  We were there for Justin's opening game 'Cowboy Football!'  Beer choices are sometimes hard, but Drop Top carried the day, and we found that mother Eva reallllly liked it!

Losing weight and lowering BP

Regular exercise like walking 2.5-5K a day and eating right is paying off!  Goal for now is to drop 47 pounds, hope to be there by mid August.

Our iPhone 3G S Warranty

On release day Sandi and I both got the new iPhone 3G S models and they are great.  Last week, after having the 3G S only 10 days or so, we were playing Scrabble together over WiFi in bed when all of a sudden the entire left one-third of her screen inexplicably went...

Bonfire for Jeff’s birthday

Sandi and I invited Jeff and Leta for dinner for his birthday and lit up a huge pile of brush and other stuff we had gathered from around the property over the summer.  It was quite a display!  I snapped this great silhouette of Jeff while he was tending the fire....

Not a good day. #zombie

Bacon Topped Meatloaf

I could lose weight if I had more will power.  Well, maybe not. Dang, that iPhone take nice pics sometimes.

Sunset and update

I have been remiss in my posting here so I thought I'd offer up an iPhone photo for your enjoyment.  It was taken using the iPhone app called Panorama that automatically stitches together two adjacent photos.  The frame was added wit the app Photogene. On the...

We celebrated Christmas in Meeker with the Giaos.  Drove up Christmas Eve and back late on Christmas day.  Had to come home to tend to the animals.  We did eat well.

Spring is here

Spring came early this year.  By late March it was somewhat comfortable for a few days, and April was very nice indeed.  The mud season didn't amount to much more than a few days of melt-off and it was over.  Things turned green very early and spring...

Late Winter ’06

Not much exciting news.  We started building a barn in October and it still isn't finished right.  Lots of issues with the contractor , you can read the entire story as I post and update it on TractorByNet.com.  The Quintus action is final as of...

Fall ’06

Well, a lot has happened since my last post.  The Fudgey Duck closed rather quickly, primarily due to landlord/tennant problems.  Its just as well, I'm happy to not have a business to keep Sandi away from home every day.  We may re-visit it later,...

Spring in Colorado

Spring is trying... News on the work front.  For the past few years the company I work for, NC Telecom, has been battling cashflow problems stemming from a massive $12MM loan from the feds for rural communications infrastructure improvements.  Last year the stock...

Winter is here

Well, winter arrived early as usual.  We usually get snow on or around Halloween and this year was no exception.  Everyone is healthy and things are going well. The company I work for filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in October and I've been handling the process with...

Summer ’05

Summer in Meeker is a short-lived thing, and this year it was very comfortable.  Sandi and I took several trips to see Joe and Anita in Missouri, even spent a lot of time looking at property to purchase.  In the end, nothing came of it as there isn't much in the...
