Zoo Lights

Zoo Lights

Sandi and I spent the weekend in Denver finalizing the NCT auction.  We had great food.  One night at Mizuna and one at McCormicks.  The Oxford Hotel got us complimentary tickets to Zoo Lights and provided Town Car transportation.  Not only were the light displays just beautiful, but some exhibits were open.  We got to visit the Giraffes, Elephants, Rhinos and Hippos.  The light animation was neat, bringing the bushes and trees to life.  Here’s an example shot with my lowly iPhone.

I’ll post more about the business side of the trip another time.

Thanksgiving, a time for family

Thanksgiving, a time for family

This holiday season has started.  The weather here in Delta is just about perfect for fall, crisp with a chill that reminds you of what is on the way.  I’m going into this season with anticipation of Christmas without hospitals, in good health.  I am so grateful to have my family and was fortunate to spend Thanksgiving with many of them.  We had TURKEY …

…and HAM …

…and lots of goodies and … FAMILY.

Sunset and update

I have been remiss in my posting here so I thought I’d offer up an iPhone photo for your enjoyment.  It was taken using the iPhone app called Panorama that automatically stitches together two adjacent photos.  The frame was added wit the app Photogene.

On the bankruptcy front things are moving well.  I’ve been busy providing information to prospective bidders and attending court hearing in Denver for the past two weeks.  The auction is still scheduled for December 12, 2008.

Hank, Willow, Piper, Todd and Sarah

Hank, Willow, Piper, Todd and Sarah

Went to a McCain/Palin rally in Grand Junction yesterday.  Sarah was there and it opened with Hank Williams, Jr.  I’m voting for Piper in 2030. I didn’t have my 400mm lens so the pics are blurry when enlarged and cropped.
