E-Bikes Need Batteries

I’ve been having battery issues with my bike for the last month or so. When I hit a hard bump it just shuts down, no display or power. I discovered that I can get it active again by banging on the side of the battery, suggesting that something is disconnecting inside. I reported it to Himiway Warranty Service and they agreed, They are going to send a replacement battery but it won’t be available for 2-3 months! Before this issue came along I had ordered a second battery from AliExpress on April 25 just to have a spare. It is also taking its time getting here. It has been shipped but hasn’t reached port of LA to be handed off the FedEx yet. Meanwhile, I have been able to limp along with this one until after my ride on Sunday. The new problem is that if the battery is left on the bike it turns off automatically and won’t come back on despite all efforts. So I now ride my 70lb. bike with pedal power only (analog LOL).

I took the longest tide to date on Sunday, over 28 miles. Here’s some pics of Sandy Hook.
